Our Commitment
At International School Maresme, safeguarding is everyone's responsibility, and we take our duty of care extremely seriously. ISM is committed to:

Our Safeguarding Team
Trained professionals dedicated to child protection
Designated Safeguarding Lead
Our DSL has overall responsibility for safeguarding and child protection. They are trained to the highest standards and available to address any concerns.
Deputy Safeguarding Lead
Supports the DSL in all safeguarding matters and is available to handle concerns when the DSL is unavailable.
Pastoral Team
Every student has a trusted adult they can turn to. Our pastoral team provides ongoing support for student wellbeing.
UNICEF Rights Respecting School
ISM is certified as a UNICEF Rights Respecting School (2022-2026). This recognition demonstrates our commitment to promoting and protecting children's rights as set out in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.
Anti-Bullying Policy
We have a zero-tolerance approach to bullying. Our comprehensive anti-bullying policy includes:
- Regular workshops and assemblies on kindness and respect
- Clear reporting channels for students and parents
- Trained staff to handle incidents promptly and effectively
- Support for both victims and those who bully
- Monitoring and follow-up procedures
Report a Concern
If you have any concerns about a child's safety or wellbeing, please contact us immediately. All concerns are taken seriously and handled confidentially.
You can also speak to any member of staff, who will pass your concern to the appropriate person.
